If you want to make money online then blogging is a great way to start.

It’s easy to do and there is absolutely no cost involved. To start off you need to get yourself a free blog, just like this one at Today.com, by signing up for a free account and then by adding some blog posts to create useful content, just as I am doing here now.

When starting out your really don’t have to worry too much about what you blog about or even things like your online display name or the title of your blog.

The easiest thing to do is just pick a topic you are interested in and start writing about whatever comes in to your head. It really doesn’t matter just when you are starting out!

As you become more familiar with blogging and how it works your mind will automatically develop a preference for different topics and areas of interest and you will naturally want to start writing about those topics.

Then you will get some great ideas for blogs which you can be more serious about, but for now just getting started should be your biggest priority.

When you become a more accomplished blogger you can create your own blog and self-host it with your own unique domain name on a cheap web host using free blogging software such as Wordpress.

As your new blog becomes successful you will find you get more readers and visitors to your blog and when this happens you can start to monetize your blog and start selling stuff to your visitors.

This does not have to be your own products, although that would make you more money, as you can sell other peoples stuff and make commissions from the sales as an affiliate.

This way of making money online from commissions is called affiliate marketing and is a very popular way to make money online for beginners as well as more seasoned veterans, who can generate a full time income from doing this.
